Fast Action Trivia Game Show Massive Hit for Trade Show Entertainment and Corporate Meetings

FAST ACTION TRIVIA

Designed for non-traditional events such as trade show entertainment.

Our Fast Action Trivia game show is just what the doctor ordered when you want to have a LOT of people to have the opportunity to play the game show. Rapid-fire trivia questions are asked in 3-minute rounds – very simply, the winner at the end of the three minutes is the winner. That player stays, gets a prize, and three more contestants try to dethrone that player. Winners can remain for up to 4 consecutive wins, then they get a special prize and give up their position. This keeps one brainiac from monopolizing the entire event and creates an incentive for people to stay and win!

Most of all, our hosts, with YEARS OF EXPERIENCE doing this show as Trade Show entertainment, and know how to keep the game moving FAST and keep it fun by mixing in comedic questions, jokes and trick questions. It’s a blast to play, it’s super fun to watch.

You can set up Fast Action Trivia as a show where contestants and audience come and go (such as in a cafeteria, at a fair or festival) or you can run it for up to 90 minutes as a full-on game show.

Fast Action Trivia is our simplest setup. No video is needed, no computers, no big space needs. A simple set up of four-player stations and a couple of banner stands, a host podium and we’re ready to go! (Note: pictures showing a large set are from corporate trade show events where we’re teaching too – that’s a slightly different animal – see below). Since the set up is so simple, it’s also the lowest cost show we offer – so it’s great for those on a budget.

Custom-built portable scoring, lockout and microphone systems mean that we can hop on a plane and perform this show anywhere in the world. No one else has the awesome portable scoring systems that we have – because our Lead Technician James designed and built them from the ground up to our exact needs.

We can supplement the trivia about a clients product with gag questions, comedy, video backgrounds and lots more. The winner of each round on the trade show floor gets to spin a prize wheel – helping your budget for prizes and creating another level of excitement.Fast Action Trivia used as trade show entertainment and teaching

This is our go-to game show for the trade show floor

Trade Shows (pictures shown here) can include video support, sound, prize wheels, lighting etc.. We will pack your booth all day long playing this game. Booths around you may be empty – but yours won’t be! It’s incredible trade show entertainment that teaches while it entertains.

Available at all levels of production, with or without video backgrounds (it’s not required for the game play)

Player Stands can be 2 digit or 4 digit read out and can have custom made fronts for branding the stands to your event. Can be set up with 2, 3, 4 or 5 players. We have several options and styles to choose from and we’ll make sure the gear we bring with us meets your specific goals and needs.

When you’re looking for the fast action of Jeopardy, without the dryness, this is the Game Show that you’re probably interested in. We’ve taken all of the things that people love about Jeopardy and we’ve stripped away the things that slow it down as a live event (which plays much differently than show recorded for TV audiences). If you insist, we can make people answer in the form of a question – but we don’t recommend doing so and it just gets confusing when people haven’t trained for the game. Oddly, contestants often answer with a question anyways.

*We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Jeopardy, it’s hosts or producers in any way. We know that you know that, but we’re saying it anyways.

What our customers are saying about Fast Action Trivia

Everything was great! Gus phenomenal as always! We even had an active shooter drill that occurred during the event, and Gus went with it and got the students to come back after the drill was over!
It was pretty cool because you asked questions that really got us going, and you did it so quickly and then you integrated the alcohol questions in there which really made us aware. Some of us didn’t know some of the answers so it really did bring awareness to the questions being asked. It was very fun. We’re going to see if we can get you guys to come back out. It’s an important topic and it was very good how you integrated that into it. We had a good time.
Fast Action Trivia was a hit! Students want to participate and other students enjoy just hanging around and spectating. There’s always much excitement and buzz in the Student Union Building for this event. Gus is a great host and person. He’s easy-going, low maintenance and always seems to be enjoying himself.
We were so happy with how our event went, and Gus was a wonderful host. Our students were so engaged during the entire event, and we've heard great feedback from them!

Is a Prize Package Included & How Much
College Events include up to an $200 prize package, built into the price. Occassionally, if we have several 4 game champs, we go over the $200 mark, but pay that out of our own pockets.

All other events are with the client providing prizes unless otherwise negotiated.

What level of production is Fast Action Trivia available in?

This is the level Fast Action Trivia was designed for. Minimal technical needs (basically just a 6′ table and a sound system)

We can provide the sound, video, lighting etc. for Fast Action Trivia and make it more of a production. With our new Gold and Platinum levels audio and video clues are integrated, allowing us to ask questions such as “what movie is this a clip from”? or “Name the artist singing this song” and so on.

What are the technical needs of Fast Action Trivia?

Simple:

  • 1 6′ banquet style table (must be a 6′ table)
  • Sound System adequate for the venue/event

Electrical: Our equipment can run off of regular household current. We ask that 4 outlets, on 20 amp circuits, be available for our exclusive use. Our lighting is all LED now, so power needs are minimal draw even on household current. Spreading the load over multiple circuits is just precautionary – we have literally run everything from one plug before – we just don’t feel comfortable doing so.

If these outlets are further than 30′ away from the performance area then extension cords should be provided.

General Stage Lighting: A general stage wash is recommended for the show. The lighting we carry is for effect and general illumination should be provided by the venue. Our Platinum level shows include full stage lighting.

Sound: We carry our own sound equipment for Gold Level Shows. Nothing needs to be provided.

Video: We carry our own video equipment for Gold Level Shows. Nothing needs to be provided.

Load in/Load out assistance: We have a LOT of gear to load in. It’s all on wheels, so there’s no heavy lifting. We don’t require help, but we sure appreciate it when we get it and it puts our crew in a great mood for your show!

All of the above plus we strongly recommend a spider box or a direct power input as we will be drawing a lot of power. This is only for the platinum level shows as the lighting package and sound package is much more robust and intense.

How long is a show?
We schedule Fast Action Trivia for 90 minutes for all standard events.

We can schedule 2 hour time slots or longer for a minimal additional fee.

Can we customize the game or game play?
The short answer is YES.

The longer answer is that we can mix in 20-30 custom questions that rotate throughout the show.

Because of the fast nature of the game, we’ll blaze through 600-1000 questions in 2 hours! So we can’t write that many questions just for your event. At least not without incurring major additional charges – and that’s not necessary.

What size of performance area is needed?
Fast Action Trivia is the show we designed to be done just about anywhere. From a concert hall stage to a nook in a hallway. We can make it happen.

Minimally we need a 8′ deep x 10′ wide space. We can condese or expand as needed.

State Fees/Taxes/Permits
Some states such as California, New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina and Missouri (just a few that we know of) have “Out of State Entertainer” taxes or state income taxes that we don’t have here in our home state of Texas.

In order to avoid raising our prices by up to 5% for everyone, our contracts will always contain this wording:

SPECIAL NOTE: The agreed upon fee is the amount that should be paid to Game Shows To Go AFTER ANY FEES, STATE TAXES (income, performer or otherwise), Special Licensing Fees required by your state or other municipality or organization. There is no way for us to keep up with all 50 states and thousands of states and cities. The amount of the check written to Game Shows to go, after deductions should be (amount quoted for show). If the gross needs to be adjusted please do so to ensure the proper payment amount. Thanks for your understanding.

This seems to be the best way to keep our prices low and only pass along these costs to the states/people who charge them. Our fees usually include travel/lodging/prizes/promotional materials and many other expenses and that are not income.

Ways we can work around this are:

  • Add the amount expected to be deducted for these fees/taxes to the amount your check is requested for.
  • Subtract the amount of fees/taxes from the prize money we give at the show (if we are providing prizes).
  • Add a clause that says expenses of “up to <the amount of taxes/fees> will be billed after the show” and we’ll bill you for that exact amount.
Are discounts available?
We fully participate in block bookings both through NACA and on our own. Check our calendar page to see when we’ll be coming near you to save.

We give HUGE discounts to schools who work with us to create routes. Using Coop buying really helps everyone to win.

You can also get discounts by scheduling more than one show during the school year.

Other than that, we have a published price list with competitive pricing that we stand by. We don’t give an inflated price just to give you a false discount. We quote a great market price and stick to it. We hope you’ll appreciate us being up front about this, it seems to be the most ethical way to do business.

How many people play?
About 60-70 people per hour depending on how well one particular player does.

There is a new round every 4 minutes. 3 minutes for the game and an estimated 1 minute to change players and award prizes.

It can go slightly faster than that if there is a line of people so rules don’t have to be re explained each round.

What ``hot button`` issues do you already have questions for?
  • Alcohol and Drug Awareness
  • Earth Day
  • Black History Month
  • Woman’s History Month
